Peggy is a veteran of the media industry in Singapore, having bridged both the creative and commercial facets of the business for more than two decades. In the creative realm, she was an award winning Television Producer and Editor, receiving the Asian Television Awards for Best Current Affairs Series (1996) and Best Magazine Programme (1997). She was a key member of the team that created the hit TV series “Extraordinary People”. In her 10 years as a creative at the Television Corporation of Singapore, Peggy researched, wrote, directed and edited scripts as well as programme proposals. Her programme credits include: View Point, At Home With, In Conversation, Documentaries, Mind Your Body, A Stroke of Genius, The Things People Do. In the business field, Peggy has had the unique experience of launching both local and international television channels. She led teams in the areas of Television Programming, Promotions, Marketing & Sales. As Assistant Vice-President of Network Programming & Promotions for Channel NewsAsia, she was instrumental in the launch of Channel NewsAsia International and spearheaded the airtime product development, working with her team in preparing business, sponsorship and programme proposals for corporate clients and government institutions. From 2006 to 2010, Peggy was General Manager of Channels at Mega Media Pte Ltd, creating and providing six High Definition Channels, including Singapore’s first HD Channel, Sling HD for the launch of SingTel’s MioTV IPTV Network. In this role, she led production teams in creating more than 500 hours of original productions, and supervised the sales and marketing teams in pitching to clients and partners. On the other side of the fence, she received written proposals from production and marketing companies and was responsible for selecting the best proposals for collaboration . Her clients and partners are both government as well as private organisations such as Media Development Authority, Singapore Sports Council, Ministry of Community, Youth & Sports, Ministry of Education, KK Hospital, Singapore Cricket Club, Netball Singapore, Li Ning, Asean Basketball league and many others. In 2010, Peggy joined Vue Networks, a Creative Technology Company, to lead the business team in developing projects and content for new media platform distribution. Here, she worked to bridge both traditional creative content writing and new media technology. In her role, she wrote and directed some of Singapore’s first High Definition Stereoscopic 3D content. Peggy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science, a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) in Political Science and Master of Arts in Mass Communications. Peggy also holds the Advance Certificate in Learning & Performance (ACLP) from the Institute of Adult Learning.
